Ok, I've just found out that someone stole my idea, (which I do claim copyright to) and I'm not happy about it.

And I'm not the only one this person has stolen ideas from, either.

Seriously, stop stealing ideas, and make an effort to come up with your own. It's much nicer to see original art than rip-offs. How can you truly say you've "made" something, when you've just stolen the idea(s)?

Art-theft breaks my heart, because the original (remember that word) artist has bothered to put a lot of effort in the idea and the resulting piece of art.

Yes, it's flattering when people admire your ideas, but it's THEFT if these ideas are copied, used without permission, and claimed by someone else.

Asking isn't hard. Giving credit isn't hard. Both will, however, help you keep your friends.

The mere act of stealing an idea means you have never had your art stolen. .. ..up to you to figure out why.

Sorry, I really had to get this off my chest.

EDIT: the person I directed this to has edited her deviation, but I'm leaving this entry up because it's still an issue worth addressing.
